The Gourd is a building situated in the desert within The Neverhood. It holds several significant items and serves as the gateway to the Chip Butty building. The Gourd consists of two rooms along with a bridge between the two buildings.
Brown Room[]
The room which leads into the entrance is bright brown. There is a vacuum tube on the ceiling with a mouse with his cheese underneath it. The vacuum is activated by stepping on ground button.
On the left side, a bridge leading to the Chip Butty (at first blocked by the Mouse Puzzle), and to the right is the Red Room.

Between the Gourd and the Chip Butty building, there is a bridge blocked by a stone piece, which is home to the Mouse Puzzle. To reach the Chip Butty, Klaymen must solve this puzzle.
Red Room[]

The second room bathed in bright red hue, and you can see inside the room by an arch surrounded by stone like circular shapes. It houses one of the disks, a disk player, and the Memory Puzzle, an integral part of the Teddy Bear Puzzle.
Trivia[]
The circular stone elements in the arch of the Red Room may be inspired by the warts often found on gourds.
